Matt Nash
Founder/President
Matt has served over 30 years in local churches as a Youth Pastor, Associate and Lead Pastor. His family also lived in Rwanda for a number of years as missionaries. While in Rwanda, he was a Professor of Bible and Theology at Africa College of Theology. From 2014-2021, he also served as a Global Training director for two different church planting organizations. He graduated with a BS in Christian Education from Multnomah University and a Masters of Divinity from Rockbridge Seminary. He is currently finishing his Doctor of Ministry in Transformational Leadership from Rockbridge Seminary. In his first doctoral seminar, God gave him the vision to begin Kardia Community and it comes out of a lifetime of serving in ministry and feeling like he was losing his own soul in the pursuit of helping other people with their spiritual formation. In 2022 Kardia Community was born and Matt wants this to be his second half of life mission!
Matt is married to an incredible woman named Jeana and they have a daughter named Emma. Some of his favorite authors are C.S. Lewis, J.R.R. Tolkien, Eugene Peterson, Dallas Willard, N.T. Wright and Tim Keller. He enjoys reading, travel, sports and he gets more excited about the Chargers and Dodgers that most people he knows. .
